EVE - Rottie/Lab Mix searching for Best Friend, New Orleans, LA
Eve first came to Cresent City Veterinary Hospital in February of 2010 as a healthy, six week old Rottweiler mix puppy. When she came back about six weeks later, she did not resemble the cute, playful puppy we had met. She had been left alone in a yard with multiple aggressive adult dogs and had been viciously attacked. She had multiple lacerations, and her front left leg was badly broken. After weeks of intensive treatment and surgeries, we were able to adopt her out to a wonderful family with whom she has thrived over the past year.
Unfortunately, this family now has a baby who is severely allergic to dogs. Eve's family was devastated when they had to bring her back to us. She was a member of their family, and giving her up was a heartbreaking decision for them. So here we are: Eve is back and looking for a home. She weighs about 85lbs. The injuries she suffered as a puppy have healed, but her left front leg is permanently "bent out of shape". This does not slow her down one bit. She has lived with older children and gets along with other dogs, and she is very much a "people dog". She seems to bond to those who take the time to get to know her and becomes very attached to them. A house without cats would best suit her. Eve is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, microchipped, housebroken and crate trained.
