Introducing Stretch, Jr.!
A big “thank you” to the hundreds of zoo supporters who weighed in with votes to select the name Stretch, Jr., for Dickerson Park Zoo’s newest calf. “S.J.,” as he has been nicknamed, was born on July 12. He stood a stout 6 feet, 4 inches and weighed 165 pounds during his neo-natal exam. You can see S.J., his mother Kamili, and the other giraffes from the elevated viewing/feeding deck.
