Have you ever wanted to photograph wildlife?
New for 2011:
Wildlife Photography Classes offered in May 
  
Have you ever wondered how some people always seem to get that perfect wildlife shot? Now you can have the chance to take photographs of native Pennsylvania wildlife while honing your skills under the direction of a professional photographer!
  
Fox squirrel eatingThe ARL Wildlife Center is offering a four-session wildlife and nature photography class in an effort to continue to educate regional residents on nature-themed topics, as well as our mission of rehabilitation and release.

The classes will be held every Saturday in May 2011 from 1:00 - 3:00pm. The series is $200 per person; payment is due in full on the first day of class. You can also sign up for one class at $50 a session if you are unable to attend the whole series.

You must bring your own camera equipment. Students will get the chance to take pictures of wildlife and plants.

Topics will include but are not limited to: Camera basics, the importance of light, designs, lenses and optics, critiques and working from blinds.

Sessions will be facilitated by Barry Lavery. Mr. Lavery is the founder of the photography department at the Art Institute of PGH where he taught for 37 years. He has worked with Hawk Watch International and been published by Little Brown and the New York Times.
