What about me?

Second Chance Animal Shelter, Inc.

What about me?

Dear omss,

Spring is in full swing now and so are the mosquitoes and ticks.  If you do not have your dog on heartworm preventative, it is extremely important to get your dog tested and on preventative.  Second Chance took in 10 heartworm positive dogs from a hoarding case a little over a month ago.  Sadly, two of these dogs passed away from this awful disease.  This is a preventable disease so it is important to take care of your dog so that they never have to suffer the fate of these dogs.

Sincerely,

Sheryl Blancato

Thank you to the Mason's!

Thank you to the Mason's for agreeing to put on the Spaghetti Supper the night before our Run Walk Wag.  This is very exciting as this dinner is for the runners, and non runners - as well as to raise funds for our pets in need.  If you haven't signed up for this dinner and/or the Run Walk Wag, be sure to go to http://www.secondchanceanimals.org/runwalkwag11.htm

WHAT ABOUT ME?

Faye is still waiting for that forever home

Countless dogs have come into Second Chance and found their forever home.  But, Faye is still here.  Why?  Simply because she is a pitbull (or mix thereof).  She was abandoned by her former owners.  This sweet girl is in a foster home and loves her family, especially the children.  Her dream of a forever home, though, is still a dream.
Please look beyond her breed to the big heart within.  Pass on her information to anyone looking for that special canine companion.  She is a queen and therefore wants to be the only pet.  But, she has enough love to give so that Faye is all you need.

FayeTo know Faye is to love Faye!

Official kick off of registration now under way!

As many of you may know, the Tantasqua walk this month was cancelled due to weather conditions.  So, that makes our annual Walk (and now road race as well) even more important.  Funds are needed to keep our programs going and to help as many pets as possible.  Please join us at this important event.  Registration is now open for the September 18th event.  Come join the fun!  For details go to : http://www.secondchanceanimals.org/runwalkwag11.htmm
